I've gotten a couple of platinum in the first car class.

I can barely beat some of the higher classes on medium to get the silver.

I was watching one of the ghosts for a race near the end of the coupe class, I think. The guy that is in first place scored over 100K points. He held a combo for the whole race. It was something like 120 combos. Amazing. I hit the walls to often and don't keep my place so I mostly lose.

Did anyone see that there is a new content download for PGR2?

This time its the Long Beach city.
I downloaded it last night. Some interesting cars in it. Not too bad of tracks.

Just wish the price to download these were like $2.50

Oh well, it adds fun to the game.

personally, i liked the Paris download pack as well.

but, honestly though, they'd better give us a freebie download package next time (unless it's berlin w/ potsdamerplatz)

I like the new Long Beach tracks. Better than the Paris tracks. And the new cars are fun too. One of the new cars is the Radical SR3 Turbo, and it is BY FAR the fastest accelerating car in the game now. It also handles incredibly well. The only downside is that the car tops out at 180mph. Still, it's pretty clear that it's the best car in the game now, except on tracks where you have long straightaways - the TVR Speed 12 is still the best on those tracks.

BTW, this download pack will be the last one for PGR2. Confirmed by developers on the Bizarre Creations forums...

End of line for PGR2 development work.

I swore I'd never pay for a content download, but as a former resident of the LBC and annual spectator at the Long Beach Grand Prix, I might just have to get this download.
