The new date is now April 14th. Way to go Sega.

Making MVP seem alot sweeter. ASB 2005 comes out this week, doesn't it? They're going to be behind both games by over a month.

Any word on why it was delayed?

I just looked on Gamestop.com and they only have the PS2 version delayed until April 14th. The Xbox version still says the 23rd of March.

Are you going by the web site or did you hear actual news?

ESPN Major League Baseball slips


Sega Sports and Visual Concepts' latest baseball title is pushed to April.

Following an update to its official Web site, Visual Concepts has confirmed that ESPN Major League Baseball has been pushed from its original March 23 release date to April 14.

Responding to GameSpot's queries about the date slip, Visual Concepts' Matt Atwood had the following to say: "In an effort to release the best quality product possible, we felt it necessary to push the title back a couple of weeks. We apologize for any inconvenience this delay might cause, but ultimately, we feel gamers will be happy with the final product."

ESPN Major League Baseball is the follow-up to last year's critically heralded baseball title World Series Baseball 2K3. It is the first of Visual Concepts' baseball titles to feature the new ESPN namesake, which had been debuted for the company's previous titles over the course of last year.

It was in the PS2 section, so maybe this only a PS2 delay? Seems unlikely they'd delay one version and not the other, though.

EDIT 2: Ok, it's confirmed, both versions pushed back to April 14th. That sucks.

ASB for Xbox went gold Monday. It will show up in stores next Tuesday.

ASB for PS2 has not gone gold yet.
