Is it worth buying? I have read mixed reviews... Is it multieplayer off line? Any help would be appreiciated.

If you like Star Wars then it is definately worth buying.I have only played the PC version,so I don't know how it plays on console.
I am not sure if it is multiplayer offline,but i would assume it is since the last game was.

I just finished the single player missions last week, it wasn't as good as Jedi Outcast imo but i still had fun with it(slicing peoples arms off and then force pushing them kicks ass ) But i still think it is a must buy if your a Star Wars fan. The multi-player is offline as well as on xbox live.

I played the pc version of Jedi Outcast but haven't tried Academy yet. How would you say the two compare? I really enjoyed Outcast.

I love Star Wars and I think its a total piece of crap.

At least rent it...because no way in hell is it worth $40-50. Huge dissapointment.

for console: Rent it

For PC: A great buy for Multiplayer online.

I LOVED Jedi OUtcast but am holding off on this one until it's below $20.00, which, based on how poorly the game did, won't be long. Apparently it's a real step backwards from Outcast, which is a shame, because that was one of my favorite games out for the Xbox...

Not really a step backwards. more like just a simple expansion.

Hence the problem: LucasArts still wants to charge full price for what is essentially an expansion...

I conquer. It was a great game if you weren't expecting a great leap forward in game play and so on. it adds a lot more than Outcast with moves and weapons, but it is in the end, a simple expansion.

Its definitely worse than Outcast.

They are basically the same just with a different storyline.But the ability to weild two lightsabers at once is cool as hell.
