SNES Games - I hit the jackpot, which of these do I play first

I was at a flea market today and came upon a guy selling some SNES games. As a SNES collector after I saw what he was selling I seriously almost fainted. I thought he was a dealer at first asking for a premium but he wasn’t selling them for much. I picked up:

Breath of Fire
Lufia II
Super Mario RPG
Secret of Evermore
Secret of Mana
Final Fantasy II
Final Fantasy III
Chrono Trigger
Earthbound

For a total of $57.00. They are all in great shape and all have boxes and instructions – earthbound has a big box that includes a strategy guide and Chrono Trigger and some of the others have posters. I feel like I came across Comic Book Guys Secret Stash. What should I play first?

i ebayed my ff III and secret of mana for $50 each a couple of years ago. so you got a good deal if they've got their boxes and instructions. i've never played breath of fire or lufia two, but the rest were a good time. have fun. i'd say ff III would be my favorite of the bunch

Yeah that is a really good buy. Mario RPG is a big seller on eBay.

tough choice on where to start. I'd probably start with FF2, I'd go in order or release date if I was just getting all those. I have played and still own most of those, except for Lufia and Earthbound.

Awesome deal!

I've played all and own most of those on the list. My favorites are Chrono Trigger, Earthbound, and Lufia II.

Dive headfirst into Chrono and you won't come up for air for at least a month!

Sweet deal wageslave! I agree with victant, Chrono Trigger should be choice 1

I found a nice deal on a top-loading NES at a flea market summer of 2002. I picked it up with dogbone controller for $15. Course I already had a top loader, but I kept the 2nd dogbone and ebayed the system for nearly $100. Flea markets are the best! However, I am not personally fond of fleas

Wow. I have all of those (complete as well) and Earthbound alone cost me more than you gave for all of them. SNES games are the favorites of my collection.

I'll join the chorus and recommend Chrono to start with........

For the games WITH boxes and instructions... that is one hell of a great deal... I got alot of those listed (with glaring exception of Super Mario RPG) for free about 6 months ago.. but very few of those or the other games I got had the instructions and boxes... I would start out with FF2 if I were you too

I hate you.

No, seriously I do.
That's well over $300 worth of games right there. Was the guy stupid or something?

FFII and Lufia 2 are definitely the ones to start out with, the Lufia games were some of the best rpgs ever.

Yeah.. I'm in the SNES mood too. I picked up Gradius III, Super R-Type, Mickey Mouse Magical Quest, and Super Adventure Island 2 this weekend.

I've tried Sword of Mana, FFIII and Chrono Trigger so far and they work fine. They all still have high level saves. So far I think I like C.T. the best but S.O.M. is great as well

I've found that any game in cartridge format is nearly indestructible to anything short of a hammer. The only data that gets lost is the saves on carts with batteries.

Secret of Mana is great fun if you can find a buddy or two to play with on multiplayer. It even makes just leveling up your characters more fun. Plus you don't have the problem of your partners getting stuck behind rocks.

Wow, that would be my find of the year. That's not too much lower than the going rates now for the games, cartridge only - but with box and instructions??!

I would agree, Chrono Trigger is awesome, (SoM is better with another person or 2).

FFIII is by far my favorite of those, with Mario RPG in second place. Those would be my top priorities.

I'm all for nostalgia, but at these prices, I'm thinking of selling the very same titles that wageslave just picked up!

Wow! That's exactly what my Earthbound looks like. the guy wanted $15 for that one because it came in a big box with a strategy guide. He gave me a break on it because I bought a bunch of other games. I tried it last night and it does seem quite unusual - I love the music! Tried FFIII and Lufia II as well. So far my favorites are still Chrono Trigger and Sword of Mana, but they all seem to be quite enjoyable.

Super Metroid ( I can't believe it either)
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=STRK:MESSO:IT

Dreamcast Broadband Adapter (Amazing)
