Xbox freezing problems
So my Xbox has frozen games on me two straight days now. First it was while I was playing Everything or Nothing, it locked up while loading the next area.
Just now, I was playing Vice City, and it locked up while loading after I'd been killed.
Sometimes when I put a game in, the green light keeps blinking as if it's trying to read the disc. I have to eject and try again, and it usually works.
Sometimes I'll start a sports game ESPN Hockey or Basketball (it never does it with Football) and it freezes on the NBA logo/NHL logo screen.
The Xbox is only 6 months old, so what could be wrong? Maybe a dirty lens or something?
Oh and I have the newest drive, the Samsung I believe.

Not gonna be much help, as I have only had it a week now. But I can say, mine plays perfectly. Here's hoping yours doesn't have a defect. Warranty should still be good though.

Do a google search.
I know that X-play recently had a little "how-to" for fixing PS2 DRE (disc read error).
So there's probably some diagnosis/fix for your problem out there somewhere.
Good luck.

All I can say is that when that happened to my XBox, I called the help desk and they declared my xbox dead. Mine was the original batch that was released and I've heard that was a common problem.
So what I did was box it up, take it to walmart, and got me a brand new one. Even though mine was well over a year old.
Got an extra small controller to go with the one I bought before too.
