I have a pair of these and they seem to work fairly well. I got them on sale for about $60 several months ago and haven't had any trouble with them. If you are looking for something quick and simple this is probably the way to go. But if you have to pay full price (around $90 I think) and are somewhat computer savy you might consider going with a wireless router/NIC/access point. It will offer a lot more flexibility without costing too much more.
