Did you preorder in-store? Amazon isn't listing anything current.

Does that controller even fit in your lap, or do you have to set it on a table?

Not a chance. If you can rest that thing in your lap, you'd have to have to have humongously large legs or something. Check out the screenshots of people playing it to see the size comparison to a person.

No, it doesn't really work with it on your lap, b/c it is very big, plus you need both feet to work the 3 pedals... I use a keyboard stand and it works perfectly.

What kind of keyboard stand? Something standalone from a desk?

Yes I did, but you can also order it online at Capcom:

"The new orders are expected to ship February 26th 2004. These will be sold on a "first come, first serve" basis. We expect to sell out before the ship hits the dock - so order yours now!"

I also preordered it. I need to go back and finish the campaign on the first. Would anyone be interested in getting an informal group going?

I would be interested. I have preordered mine. I'm a little wary because of Gamespot's less than stellar review, but I'm hoping some of the problems they mentioned with it are resolved in the sequel. Can I hear the opinions again of the members who bought this game?

Where do you see that deal at? Is it in store only?

Nice, but it says this :
"Coupon will not work on bundled items."

Will it still qualify for the Steel Batallion Bundle? I will try it once I get off from work.

It's fine business sense IMO.

I doubt anyone who wasn't willing to pay $200 to play one game with the original would be willing to do so for the sequel.

Thus they're just marketing the sequel to people that bought the first one, and hoping maybe a few people will jump on board and shell out $250 to play the two games.

That is exactly what I have been saying this whole time. The fact that the sequel is online only just aids to that.

So can the people who bought the first one tell me their impressions? I'm too lazy to dig through old threads.

I second this. Great game, takes some time to get used to this, incredible "realism" (or approximating something that does not exist). Hard as hell, but very rewarding.

Well, the code 'tremor' (at gamestop.com) works on the Steel Battalion bundle. I got it ordered for $191.97 with overnight shipping! Great deal! Also went ahead and ordered 'Line Of Contact' since gamestop has free overnight on it right now.
