Where to get VGA Boxes?
Does anyone know where i can get a good, cheap vga box for either gamecube, ps2, or xbox? I had a multiplatform vga box (which simply uses the composite cables), but the results were not good. Any advice?

That's what I want to know. I got a really nice LCD monitor on Christmas, and would like to hook up the PS2, VCR, and cable TV to it. At Walmart they have a box made by General Electric that allows you to hook up an SVIDEO, an RCA A/V, and a coaxial source and then hook it up to your monitor..has anyone used it? It is $80 and looks to be good..but who knows

Sorry, there is no solution.
The Dreamcast is the only system to output a TRUE VGA signal. The VGA device is actually inside the DC, and the VGA box works as a connector.
But you can't take a composite/s-video signal and turn it into a VGA signal. It's somewhat of a lie then that they call it a VGA box because it doesn't translate the video signal into a VGA one. So it's really not much better than a TV. Overpriced if you ask me.

There's the X2VGA for the Xbox:

Check the site for tons of links to reviews. Sounds pretty good.

Another native-VGA box for the Xbox is here:

Don't know if the X2 or the XboxVGA is better, so you might have to do some research.
