Which version of Prince of Persia: Sands of Time should I get?

I have all three systems and wanting to buy this game. I know Ican get Splinter Cell with the PS2 version, but since I already have splinter cell I am looking at game play only. Which version is the best?

I believe you can get Splinter Cell free with all three console versions, and PC also... so I wouldn't let that sway your decision.

You get a free copy of Splinter Cell if you buy the GC or Xbox Prince of Persia too.

Get Prince of Persia for the X-Box but get Splinter Cell for PS2. The graphics aren't as good as the X-Box, but there is a ton of bonus stuff that more than makes up for it.

Cube version looks the best and I can use the Wavebird. No brainer for my preferences.

The Cube version does have some audio problems (where you won't be able to hear what the people are saying over the music or whatever), but the controller is perfect for the game, and the graphics are probably the best of the bunch.

GC has the better graphics? Sweet. Nice change of pace. Couple that with the shortest load times, and a wavebird and you have a winner.

From Gamespot's review (page 3):
The environments and soft ambient lighting effects used throughout the game are also fantastic-looking, especially on the Xbox, where the colors are richer, the frame rate is smoother, and the resolution is sharper than on the PlayStation 2 or GameCube versions. These versions of the game control equally as well as the Xbox version and look superb in their own rights, but the Xbox version of the game is hands down better.
From what they wrote, it seems that the Xbox has better graphics than the GC version...

I see that a lot, with different reviewers having different opinions on which version looks the best between the X-box and GC.

I just assume the graphics are a wash in that case and go with the GC for the Wavebird and shorter load times.

XBox version supports DD5.1 and 480p
GC version supports 480p, but no DPLII
PS2 version supports DPLII and 480p

If that matters to you.

(The stats I saw didn't say DPLII for GC, but it seems odd that PS2 would support DPLII. Perhaps the GC version actually does?)

Not bad for stealing from Walmart.

Unbelievable how people are proud of stealing $ and boast about it on the internet.

You know--and this is not at all an attack on you, cheapskate--I only ever see that kind of writing (e.g., "lam3rz") done by people who are making fun of it. I have never seen it done in earnest. I have to say, it's visually irritating even when done in jest.

I know.

But it's not that far off... all those crazy kids today, all jumped up on the mp3. I'm glad this forum is mostly devoid of that garbage; and I mean that to the X-treme.

Can anyone speak of personal experience with the link cable benefits of both games (PoP and Splinter Cell in case we've forgotten)?

I bought these for the Xbox, but would consider exchanging them for the Cube versions if GameBoy connectivity added a lot to the experience.

The reviews don't go into too much depth on this topic.

I agree!

Tho I only have a GC so I want to get the best price so I can maximize this 2 games for the price of one deal.

I would assume you could get it for $45 at Best Buy using their $5 off coupon. Anyone know of a better deal?
