BTW, I can't confirm, but I think MGS TS just got pushed back to WINTER 04...
Eh? That sounds highly unlikely since this trailer was just released and even says March 2004 on it. Not to mention the previews that already got released. Winter 2004 would be after MGS3 too.

He might be thinking of Metroid Prime 2?

That movie is awesome. I jumped to various parts of it, but I didn't want to spoil the game so I just saw a few minutes. And I've played the original too. But it got me really pumped. The new scenes are so different, really give the game a much fresher feel than I was expecting (hence I didn't watch all the video). Kitamura rocks! I can see how they had to redo the voice acting and the music to match the new cinemas, but it looks like it was worth the effort, much better than just keeping the old ones and only making the graphics better.

Sorry about that, I'm so tired today. I was actually thinking of Resident Evil 4 being pushed back.

We got Nintendo Demo Disks 14 & 15 the other day (14 has another GBA downloadable Pokemon). There was a decent Twin Snakes trailer on 15 amongst others...Killer 7 (noir and bloody), Custom Robo (movie & playable), Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow and a new Crystal Chronicles trailer. Looks like I need to beat Final Fantasy before Metal Gear arrives in three weeks.

My store recieved the new demo disk as well. I played Custom Robo for a bit and I must say its fun. The Twin Snakes trailer looked bad ass, and so did Killer 7.

Can't wait to play this again with the new graphic's, it is easily one of my favorite games ever. March can't come soon enough.

I let a friend borrow a PAL GCN dvd from a Euro-mag and it had a Killer 7/MGS: TTS trailer. He also watched the Killer 7 on the demo and said it was different. I played Custom Robo a little also and I'll be picking that one up too. To bad there still isn't a firm date for Killer 7, it looks so good (and freakish). Oh well, Metal Gear next month then Wario Ware in April.

I plan to get it and pay full price

If you guys think this game will drop in the first 3-6 months of it's release you have another thing coming. Perhaps the arrival of Snake eater will lower it price.

I got a chance to see it . Its the "Just pull the trigger" one. I like that one, its sweet, but the game looks fantastic on a full sized screen.

Back to Twin Snakes, I'm really looking forward after seeing the trailer. I've been downloading a few movies and it looks great. In particular one in which the guards hear his footsteps on the railing above them and when they go up to check it out he's not there anymore, cool stuff. So which picture did you post DLogic, it shows up as an X on my comp.

Snake is talking to Otocon I believe and in the back ground there are small Mario and Yoshi statues on a shelf.

I just read a review in my GamePro, and they are not impressed. There are slow down issues as well as cheesy cinematics during the cut scenes. They concluded that this game has "missed the mark". I guess we'll have to wait until more reviews come out.

EGM reviews it in their latest issue as well. One complaint is that the first person mode affects one of the boss battles in such a way no strategy is required:

Spoiler:
When fighting Revolver Ocelot simply switch to first person view and aim directly at him. You no longer need to ricochet the bullets off of the walls to hit him.

They make no mention of slowdown though and gave it an 8, 9, and a 8.5.

Those are respectable scores for a remake

Spoiler:
I never knew that you could ricochet bullets off the wall to hit Ocelot, I thought you were supposed to hit him while he was reloading. Hence the "I love to reload during battle" I always that was a hint on how to beat him because he was pretty tough to hit while he's running. But then again thats the great part about Metal Gear Solid bosses, there are tons of different ways to beat them.
