You must have some sad people at the store there because the employee's at the one here are cool.

Back to the topic, this video game retro clothing is ok...as long as it is done in moderation.

And a Nintendo jacket (IMHO) shoots beyond "moderation"

p.s. KMAC i had to quote you...that comment about the jacket is too priceless

I do not need to wear a tshirt or jacket to like video games.

No matter what anyone tells you, hot girls would not be caught dead with a guy wearing a Nintendo jacket.

Buy it and keep it in the closet. Im vain and I like getting laid.
I've got an Atari shirt (acceptable, it seems), and my wife's got a mario shirt that has (in pictures):

little mario + mushroom = big mario

(Sorry, don't have a link)

So yes, hot chicks can love video games too.. Some of her favorites are Oddworld, Metal Gear Solid, the Resident Evil series, Fatal Frame, and the requisite Animal Crossing. I love her to death, and probably wouldn't have ever married anyone, if they didn't have the passion for games that I do.

I am sure that there are some out there, but the majority do not. My girlfriend plays super mario brothers 3 on the NES (and shes is damn good), but thats it. She wont play my Xbox or playstation2.

I have never dated a girl who likes video games (or at least doesn't find them nerdy). After you get to know them, you can break out the ps2, xbox or whatever.

I know for a fact that if I had approached my girlfriend (or any girls that I have dated) while wearing a Nintendo jacket or video game apparel I would not have gotten a second look.

So, unless you are trying to pickup a teenage boy, I would avoid video game apparel.

You also may want to avoid novelty ties, harley t-shirts, rock band t-shirts, acid washed denim or a combination of any of these.

This is very true, i seriously doubt that my girlfriend would have talked to me if i had been wearing a Nintendo Power jacket....hell even *I* wouldnt want to talk to someone wearing that in public.

Video game apparel is just like owning cars, watching anime, or eating rasin bran...you just have to know when to say "when".

why not just be honest. Don't wear ANYTHING retro and you'll be good to hook up with girls. Wearing an eminem hat sideways style will get you extra points too.

I haven't met too many girls that are into gaming either. Funny thing is, the few who I've met at my schoolthat are into gaming are incredibly hot, I wasn't really expecting that. Most of them were into Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Animal Crossing, and Final Fantasy. And every time they were the ones that initiated topic about gaming. So let me tell you, they are out there .

back to the topic, I saw someone at the mall once wearing a Killer Instinct T-Shirt, black, with Spinal on the front. it actually looked pretty neat.

Ya know...when explaining the plot of that game people give you a look like "You have got to be kidding".

Seems very few people in this world have seen, or even remember the movie its based off of.

I don't think the term "vanity project" has ever been so apt...

Definately my top pick for best sci-fi/fantasy/music/anti-drug flick of '88. Happy endings all around as MJ foils "Mr Big" and his devious plan to "get kids high".

The kids in the movie had a really tough decision:

Get high with Joe Pesci or hang out with Michael Jackson.

I don't think there is a "right" choice in that matter

I would wear i vidoe game tshirt if the image on it is somewhat small or vague to the point where only gamers would know what the image actually is. The only game shirt i have is my Black Dreamcast preoder shirt. That one actually looks pretty bad ass. It sucks that it says EB games on the sleeve though

If I were a kid again, I would love to hang out with MJ! $20 million dollars would go a long way. Rubba Rubba.

The only way to pick up girls while wearing a Nintendo Power jacket is if you are also wearing the Power Glove. And your pickup line must be "NOW you're playing with power!"

Please do yourself a favor folks. Don't wear anything Hot Topic sells. You can't buy "cool" at the mall. Hot Topic is the devil.

Well, i believe the general consensus here was that a Nintendo Power jacket wasnt "cool".

And while Hot Topic is a mainstream, mass produced "hardcore" store...i find it to be far less "evil" than the likes of GAP and Ambercrombie & Fitch.

I think the Happy Bunny t-shirts and items that Hot Topic sells are hilarious.

"Hi. Dorkwad."

My wife has the one where the bunny has her fingers in her ears and it says "Not listening". Funny stuff.

It was late when I typed that. I meant to say, "like enimen, wear a viser hat sideways." .

Yes it is sarcasm.

I think the simple ones with just a small photo like the Up Up Down Down Left Right Left Right B A Start or the NES Controller are simple shirts. But the jacket? I'll pass.

Although I do own a Brak Shirt that I wear with pride

Word to the wise...

Avoid the Mario boxer shorts. Fungus, or even a picture of fungus, near your genitals is never a good idea.
