I don't know...I found N64 emulation a crap shoot. It seems all the interesting games had problems. Plus, you have the control issues to tackle. Also, it seems all the graphical plug-ins made the games look too good, I actually started to miss the "fuzziness" of playing the original cart on the original hardware.

It seems there hasn't been as much advancement as I thought there would have been since the release of UltraHLE.

Project64 is the best n64 emulator out there that i've seen. It runs some games flawlessly, while others not so good. It can even bump the frames and resolution. it runs majora's mask much nicer than my real copy i have on the zelda collector's edition.. now where i got all 297 n64 roms, i cannot disclose. but the pj64 emulator was discontinued, so until something better comes along, you're stuck with it.

Thanks for all the help sfsdfd, but I'm still having the same problem I was a couple of weeks ago. I downloaded the ePSXe160 and the ePSXeCutor1060, as well as the scph1001.bin (as a BIOS.ini file) ROM. I downloaded all the plugins I thought woiuld be applicable from the site you suggested and unzipped them to the plugins directory. I also placed the BIOS.ini file in the bios folder inthe ePSXe160 folder. When I run the ePSXe.exe, it asks if I want to configure the system. I select yes, and then it tells me that it can't find the BIOS file. Should I just skip the configuration? Also, which plugins would you specifically suggest or is it just a complete crap shoot? I'm running Windows XP on a Compac Evo N800C laptop with 512MB of RAM. Thanks again for the help.

make a folder in the epsx directory named "bios" and put SCPH1001 in there.

I did that and it still doesn't work.

You should try to look for the official or an unofficial ePSXe forum for help..

That's odd. scph1001.bin appears in the bios directory of my ePSXe uninstall, and the program finds it just fine.

Not sure what else to tell you. Consider deleting your current ePSXe install and starting from scratch with the newest version.
