anybody remember Mac game called "The Art of War"
Back when I was a kid in the late 80's I use to play a game called "The Art of War", it was a medievel strategy conquest game where you had units made up of knights, barbarians, and archers. You could control what formation your units were when they entered battle, but the computer AI took care of the rest playing out the battle scene before you.
Does anybody remember this game, was it ever released for the PC?

Yep, great fun making our own maps and then challenging our friends to beat them. Ancient Art of War at Sea was pretty good too. Never tried the air version.
You can still find them at the Underdogs site, but I'm not sure if they'd work on a current PC just because of speed issues. Haven't tried recently.

Those games were great for the time. I love how it taught me all the Tsung Tzu quotes.

Yes, but some of the deeper meanings were lost during the translation.Still, it was a great game back in its days.
