Genma Onimusha Xbox Controls are awful

Ok so I picked up this at EB on Black Friday for 9.99. I was excited for this game but it was totally ruined by its controls. They are horrificly bad, is there any way to change it so you can use the analog stick. I tried to return but they said no way.

i was thinking about picking this up. Are the controls bad due to button layout, or is it sluggish? the PS2 games played perfectly

the layout is awful, use can only use the D-Pad to move and it doesn't use "natural" direction

I never had a problem with the control myself, but I can understand how some wouldn't like it, isn't it exactly like RE's style of control? Haven't played those in awhile so can't remember. D-pad only control was a bit annoying though on Oni 2 since they *could* have fixed that problem for the sequel but chose not to.

It has the same control as the RE games. It's actually pretty good control, but if your not used to it and it's not what you're expecting I can see how it would be extremely annoying.

Well I NEVER liked RE's control scheme but it was better on a PSX2 controller than the XBOX one. But that being said once you get used to it it isn't as weird as one might think.

The thing I found more annoying than the controls though was the bad camera angles and all the quick jumps to other cameras (thus exacerbating the control problems) as you move through the game... I guess I could have gotten used to it, but there's too many other games out there to play to waste time on the "problematic" ones
