If you still need one, I should have one tomorrow when I pick up PGR2. I am assuming there will be one inside the box.

I have 2 if anyone wants one (e-mail in profile) I just ordered Live from Amazon (thanks to whoever posted that deal) so will I be able to sign up for the 2 month free trial and then extend my Live subscription after the 2 month free trial without having to switch tags?

Yes, that's the whole idea.
Still, remember that you need a headset as well as the live subscription if you want to really enjoy Live. Unfortunately the sweet Amazon deal on starter kit 3.0 is now kaput (was $39.99, now $69.99). You still can find V2.0 kits around for $50, and that's the deal to jump on. Otherwise, it's $29.99 for the headset and $50 for a year.

You might wanna check your local Target and see if they still have the 2.0 kits for $25-$35.

I got in on the Amazon deal and it has been shipped. So you're saying that I can extend that subscription after the 2 month free trial expires (I am waiting to activate the trial until the headset gets here)? I jumped on the Amazon deal since I have a sealed copy of MechAssault that I can get rid of once my order gets here.

Edit: Nevermind, you answered my question in the post above. Thanks.

BTW, you don't have to wait for your subscription to expire, either. You can just go into your account and enter they 1 year subscription code and it'll be set for a "free" renewal rate at the end of your subscription. Bottom line : You'll get to add a year to the account you already have. Congrats on getting in on the deal.

BTW I haven't seen any older Live kits in any Targets in a while, but saw the placecard for V2.0 yesterday and it was $49.99.

So if I did find a kit at Target, I could renew now and extend it until August 2005?

I haven't checked the prices at my local Targets lately, but I did notice alot of 2.0 kits the last time there, which was about 2 days ago. I'll have to check the prices again

Yes. That's what I did (also through Aug 05). You can only do a one year extention, though, so don't buy a lot of them. What actually happens is you get a message that at the end of your subscription (Aug 04), you can renew for $0.00. GoLucky posted his screen somewhere here showing it.
When I bought my Live kit a month ago, it was ringing up $49.99 even though it had a $34.99 sticker on it. It took a manager to key in the price. If you can get one for $34.99 it's certainly worth doing.
