PC Knights of the Old Republic

I think it came out Nov 18. I'm pretty curious about this one. Did anybody pick up the game yet?

It's on sale at Best Buy this week for $34.99 I believe. Use the gamer card coupon and save an extra $5, and it seems like an awesome deal. I would pick it up if I hadn't already played it to death on Xbox.

Did they fix the massive amount of bugs from the Xbox version?

What bugs on the Xbox? I haven't encountered any except maybe a few pathing issues (which was never a big deal for me)

I'm curious if there is any of the choppiness in some of the environments like there was on the xbox, Taris especially.

There was a huge bug related to characters going into stealth mode that resulting in the cutscenes going into an endless loop. Also known as the "Carth Bug" because of the point where it typically appeared.

Depending on how you played through a particular point in the game, you'd either miss it completely or get hit hard. I got hit hard. For a while, it looked as if I'd have to start completely over, until I read about ANOTHER bug that allowed me to end up in a screwed up version of the Ebon Hawk, which escaped the looping cutscene but presented its own share of problems.

There were several minor bugs in the game, but the Carth Bug is the worst bug I've ever seen in a console game. Since Bioware was well aware of it, I'm sure it was fixed for the PC version.

Sorry for the long sidetrack. Carry on...
