Cut and paste the web address that comes up and eliminate the ability for them to see where one came from outside of the individual typing in the address from their home computer.

Having it linkified probably just accelerated its death. They can track how you clicked through to their site, you know. So when they get a bunch of hits through a message board the offer got yanked...
