I was just thinking $120 sounds high, but I just remembered I bought the 3 year warranty at BB because friends had - had problems during the first year it was out.
Now I just need some memory cards to back up my stuff in case they just give me another one instead of fixing it.

Regarding the problems with the GTA pack. The thing I don't understand is how something like this would make it past the testing cycle. Unless the discs were rushed out the door or there was a defect in the manufacturing process.
I would think a recall would be very expensive.

From: Where the sky is always Carolina Blue! (Currently VA - again...)
I have a launch Xbox -- didn't have any real problems other than occasional freezes here and there -- a rental Road Rage, the horribly buggy Morrowind, etc.
Then I started having real problems with something last fall -- can't remember what, but it was a game I had always played a lot before and never had issues before. Think some of my movies were freezing too.
Anyhoo, I had thankfully purchased the extended warranty from MS. They mailed me a box, airborne Expressed it out on Tuesday. Thurs. night I get an email saying they've fixed it and are sending it out -- Friday morning on my way out the door to work, AE shows up on my front door with my repaired xbox (saved games 100% intact) -- total cost $0. Dunno if they swapped the drives or not though. Never found out.
So far, I haven't had as much as a hiccup with GTA3.
