Offbrand Xbox Controllers

Are any of the offbrand Xbox controllers like Madcat or others any good ?
I need an extra & wouldnt mind getting a cheaper offbrand one but I wasnt sure about their quality.
I noticed some of them said "Will replace your Xbox if our controller damages it" & that kind of concerned me.

Personally, I stick with 1st party joysticks. I have a Madcatz xbox joystick (got it cheap), it works okay, but I never use it.

I doubt it will ever damage your console, but even if it did, good luck proving that the joystick did it.

Some are really good... I have a pellican wireless and I love it. It gives the wavebird a run for its money. I don't like madcatz controllers though.

The Madcatz Microcons are awesome. I have 2 for the Xbox and 1 for the gamecube. They are the most comfortable controllers I have used in a while, and they are very sturdy (I've had 1 Xbox one and the gamecube 1 for a year now, and picked up another Xbox one when watching my little cousins a few months ago)

I have to agree with trigger, the pelican eclipse wireless is awsome and my favorite controller.

I generally stick with 1st party controllers.

I have heard good things about the Pelican wireless trigger mentioned, but I've always passed on it. I can't see spending $50 or so on a 3rd party wireless when Nintendo sells the Wavebird for $30-35. Sony and MS need to get on the ball and put out first party wireless controllers.

I'll second this about the Microcons. I picked up one for my 3-year old son--yeah, he's still too young to really know what he's doing in some of these games, but he loves it anyway and it really is better for his smaller hands. Surprisingly, I played around with it and, while I prefer the fuller-sized Controller S, the Microcon isn't too shabby at all. My wife also prefers it, but again, that's due mainly to hand size.

Overall, if you don't mind the smaller size (and maybe that's an added bonus for you), it seems to be a decent, well-built controller.
