Tony Hawk 4 720p mode

Anyone know if there's a trick or something to put TH4 into 720p mode like holding down a button or whatever?

Thx

For what Xbox? If so you have to set the settings up in Xboxs dashboard to enable 720p. If your talking about ps2 it cant do 720p nor can gamecube.

Yeah, unlike GCN or PS2, there are no "tricks" in setting up the Xbox for 480p, 720p, or 1080i. Just go to the Xbox dashboard and enable or disable the option to apply the settings for all games.

it doesn't run in 720 p. my friend has a samsung hdtv and it doesn't support that resolution. all we see is static whenever we try. since its plugged in through compnonets, we can't even play the game on that tv. it sucks, but the game is so good we usually lug the xbox downstairs to another tv.

I have a samsung that doesn't support 720p (but does 1080). Just disable 720p in the Xbox control panel. It will default to 480p
and the game runs fine.

How do you have your XBox configured in the dashboard? If your television can't accept 720p input, it should at least be able to handle 480p.

Looks great for me in 720p. Sounds like your buddy has to change the setup in the dashboard like Cyner says.

It's really stupid how some manufacturers don't support 720p on their supposedly "HD" TV sets, and only support 1080i. 720p is half the HD standard! How can they tag their products as "HD Ready" when they don't even support half the standard. Ridiculous. I'd never buy a HDTV that didn't support 720p.

That's the case much more often than not (especially if you ignore sets that sideconvert 720p and can't resolve it natively), which is why I've been reluctant to dip my toes into the waters o' HDTV.

wow...my whole gang of friends are morons. I don't know why we always clicked the 720p button when we do the setup.
