Has anyone tried out Freedom Fighters? I played the demo on PC and it seemed like a pretty fun game, but I was wondering if the complete game is worth paying full price or should wait until it hits the bargain bins. Also, are there any major differences between the PC and Xbox version (other than the obvious mouse-keyboard difference).
The game is sort of like the old 1980s movie "Red Dawn" set in New York City -- minus the Brat Pack actors, of course.

I've been reading in other forums that the game is pretty short with pretty much nonexistant replay value. I'll rent or wait till it hits below $30. Does look neat though and received generally high scores from quite a few gaming sites.

The game is fairly short , but it is really fun to play. This is one of the first games I didn't mind starting over from a save point to retry a level...
Hard to say if its worth $50, but I guess that all depends on how low on cash you are!

I rented Freedom Fighters a couple weeks ago and I have to say that it was an absolute blast to play (no pun intended). This is one of those few games that does so many things "right" that it's hard to find things wrong with it. My only criticism is the precise aiming mode is a pain in the rear end some times but other than that this is probably one of the best games you'll play this fall.
If you have any doubts give it a rental. But I think you'll be really surprised how good it is.

I have the xbox version and having a lot of fun with it. I'm already short on time to play, so a game that is about 8 hours long will last me for weeks on end. Right now, I'm stuck on the assassination mission.
On the Xbox, the game uses a sort of auto-aim feature to help. Or you can zoom and get a cross-hair, but it's much slower and cumbersome.
