how to clean old game cartridges?

I just spent 99 cents on buying Alisha Dragoon for Sega and 1.99 for Dragon Warrior for Nintendo, but they are both really sticky on the outside plastic since they have probably been played alot. How can I safely clean the cartridges without damaging the connection point or the hardware inside?

thanks

Maybe Quentin Tarantino had them.

I'm not sure of the best way to clean the outside of the cart, but like Save Ferris said, a q-tip and rubbing alcohol works wonders for the inside area. Personally, I don't even use the rubbing alcohol - a q-tip alone usually does the trick for me.

Me and everyone I knew use to just blow into them...works okay...

Oh but you meant just the outside I would just use a lightly damp paper towel as long as its ONLY on the outside you're cleaning.

Outside==ise goo gone or similar to remove sticky residue. For the contacts, *best* thing is a pencil eraser! Carve to fit if the opening is narrow, and wipe away the crumbs...
