New Crash Kart game

I saw a video for this on the "coming attractions" dvd they were giving away at Best Buy with any dvd, cd or game purchase this week.

It looks pretty sweet. There was also a Mario Kart Double Dash video on their, and as much as it pains me to say it, the Crash game looked like more fun. The Mario Kart tracks all looked more or less like tracks from previous games (i.e. mostly flat) while the crash tracks were pretty wild with some cork screws, crazy jumps etc.

I have a feeling the Mario Kart video was dated though, as it also seemed very slow. I remember reading that the E3 demo was really slow and that new builds have fixed that, so hopefully this was just an old video, that only showed the beginning courses or something.

It's not developed by Naughty Dog anymore.

From the screenshots and video I saw it didn't look like much of an upgrade graphically compared to the first one on the PS1 either, which is suprising. But, CTR>MK64.

Yeah, the graphics weren't impressive at all on either game IMO.

Hmm...the videos I've seen of Mario Kart Double Dash have them going up mountains, through tunnels, etc. Haven't seen any where the landscape was just flat.

Must have been an old video then. There were some hills in it, not totally flat, but the tracks cetainly weren't near as interesting as the ones in the crash game.
