Also free: The tons of bugs that are in the game.

I enjoyed it, but the bugs drove me crazy.

u dont have to be registered at the link I have provided. its really busy right now at filefront so just keep retrying. u only have to be registered if you use the fast download but if u just use the 1 where it says download, then its all good. it still goes fast when you use "download".

Cool!

I had preordered Hidden and Dangerous 2, but since I can just play this for free I cancelled. You just saved me $50.

Ah... I see what's going on now. The "fastpass" requires registration the other one doesn't. Thanks for info/link

Deluxe is all patched up with none of the original bugs. It also has some prettier graphics too.

how does filefront work?

The window has said "your file is being prepared" for over 2 hours now.

If it says that it is full, your file isn't really being prepared. YOu just have to keep trying until it says it is "close to capacity" or something like that. Then there is a link you click on to start the DL. It is fairly lame, unless I'm missing something.

If you're hitting peak times with filefront, Gathering of Developers has their page of mirrors up. I'd recommend Worthplaying or 3DGamers since they usually have good bandwidth.

Sigh, I had better experiences with the old version. ALl I get on this machine is a black screen. Maybe it will be better on my other machine...

Oh well, it was still a nice gesture by them.

Thank god more companies are doing this and not only Rockstar with their free GTA that could be downloaded online. If only more would follow their lead.

Where can you download GTA for free? I don't see it anywhere on Rockstar's website.

Thanks.

EDITED TO ADD: I found it! http://www.rockstargames.com/classics/

Masters of orion, betrayal at krondor, and wolfenstein: enemy territory also come to mind.

This is great - what a smart move by companies like this. I'd never buy H&D II, but after I download/play this, I just may.

Any links to other great, free games, like Wolfenstein mentioned above?
