I agree with Grim Fandango, Planescape: Torment, and Alone in the Dark being underappreciated, but they were certainly not underrated.
FWIW, I felt Blood was a very average FPS.

I disagree with most entries except maybe ICO.
Klonoa was definitly neither underrated nor underappreciated, in fact it was over in both imho.

Wow. I haven't played any of those. I've heard of them and have played short demos of some but never really played them.

When they say City Building series are they talking about Caesar I, II and III and the Pharaoh games or something else?
Caesar II was great and Caesar III improved things even more -- aside from the simplified combat.

I just (within a couple months) discovered Ceasar III at Kmart for like $2.50. What a game.

i agree, or at least here in japan, when I go to the arcade, they have at the very least, 4 VF4: Evo machines, with the machines back to back so you can't see your challenger. There are ALWAYS lines to play this. YOu can't even play the computer because there's always some dude ready to drop his 100 yen and lay a beat down on you. Of course, I rarely get beat down, hehehee...

I played the demo for Wheel of Time and I thought it kinda sucked ass.
I like the book series though, so if the game is actually good I'll give it another shot.

Grim Fandango should have been in the "overrated" list, IMO. The "new" joystick-driven interface is absolutely atrocious. Though no one will ever deny that it has the most inspired art direction in a game ever.
"Loom" would have been a better pick.
