Stuck on Voodoo Vince...any suggestions?
The doll said something about freshening up, I followed the butler through the 3rd floor, and now I'm in that level with all the trees and the pseudo-vine swinging. Anyway, I've run around in circles a dozen times at least, and I've collected everything in sight. (I still have 5 voodoo bags and 10 cards to go, but I can't locate them via the All Seeing Eye.) I have no idea where I'm supposed to go. The level isn't "pushing" me in a particular direction, and there's no obvious goal. Am I supposed to go somewhere in the trolley or whatever it's called? The Carnival the doll mentioned isn't one of the options.

In the tree swinging level you should come to a Balcony of sorts thats where the next portal is. The shed roof with the train stop is in the middle of the board abouts. Keep going there may be a couple of places where you have to swing and let go in mid air and then swing to the next air hook.
Hope this helps.

No, you don't need the trolley. Just keep going in one direction as far as you can go... eventually, you will get to the point that Mechazilla mentions, where you will have to swing from hook to hook. It's hard to see from a distance because it's just these small hooks suspended in mid-air.
If I remember right, there are five voodoo bags sitting at the building in which you exit the level.

I got it a little earlier. I was just facing the wrong direction continually.
It never dawned upon me that anything was over in that direction.

I'm still in the Unwanted Guests level. I can't manage to stay alight long enough to blow the last keg (right before the moving chairs) -- anyone have suggestions. I'm jumping as fast as I can but I just can't make it.

I was stuck on that...seriously, for an hour, maybe longer. The way I finally did it was to avoid glides or climbing when moving from the piano with the candle to the other piano to the broken floorboard. If I got slowed down or tripped up, no matter for how slight a period of time, I'd start all over. Then, to get from one side of the floorboard to the other, I double-jumped into a spin. I think luck factored in too, but that's the solution that finally nailed it for me.

Stuck in the Hall of mirrors now. I guess I'm looking for another generator switch or something but I just keep going round and round not seeing anything. Is it possible to go through any of the mirrors or break the unbroken ones? It really looks like the voodoo charm is right in/behind one of the mirrors, but obviously I can't get to it.
Anyone done this?

You'll have access to the generator switch when you defeat the boss. I'd recommend using the All-Seeing Eye to guide you towards all of the voodoo bags you have remaining -- at least, that's how I wound up in the right room.

Now I see! This thread was just a ruse to plug your review!
(Which I liked, by the way. But only three stars for the plot? Madame Charmaine would not be pleased.

Since I can now assume that you've finished the game, I have another question. After getting both generators going, where in the world do I go in the main carnival map? I can't jump far enough to reach either of the ferris wheels or any rides other than the sofas and chinese takeout. I've tried all the cannons to no avail -- am I just missing something really obvious or what?

For that part, get up to where the train stop is. You have to jump from take-out to the sofas to the spinning cats. Getting to the cats took me a while to kind of get the hang of, and I never really got to the point where I could pull it off on one try. From there, you run forward a bit until you get to the first ferris wheel. At the top of that wheel, ride the pin lines to the second ferris wheel, which has seats that spin around. It took me forever to get the timing right to jump from the spinning seats to the swinging sub sandwich. When you're on the sandwich, time your jump to the spinning rockets carefully...if you're too close to the edge of the sub when it swings away, you may slide off. Jumping to the rockets is the last tough part...from there, you jump on a flying saucer, which is pretty painless, and then to a little bicycle to take you inside the tent. And if you thought the carnival was maddening, wait until the next part... You're right at the end, though...two more stages. I might be missing something towards the end of that ferris wheel hopping, but I'm sure the beginning is correct since I played through it a maddening number of times.

How many main areas are in Voodoo Vince?
Hi, I am currently playing through Voodoo Vince. I am currently hunting for Sausage for the Gumbo and have completed catching the shrimp. Since many of you have already finished this game, how many more main areas are there? Can someone give me an idea how many levels I have left? I just picked up Return of the King, and I want to finish Vince first.
Thanks!!
Thanks!!

I got through the Haunted House which led me to the train battle with the doll. Then I beat her and went to the swamp. This is where I am now gathering ingredients for the Gumbo. The cook will tell me how to get to the carnival. Is the carnival the last level?
Thanks

I've stopped playing at the carnival. Jumping from ride to ride is driving me insane, especially since you basically have to start from the beginning if you mess up on any of it.
That butler ticked me off, too. I'm positive that some of the things you could collect couldn't be collected by any other way than suiciding, because the butler's trails disappeared so fast.

As a semi completist -- at least for this game, I managed to get just about every item IIRC. However, I got stuck on the final boss and never beat it. -- If I fell all the way down and survived, I had to start the climb from scratch. If I fell down and died, I had a chance to start midway up -- but I lost a valuable life (entirely up to me given the huge distance and ease of gliding). I only made it to the kamikaze section once out of all my attempts -- and with 6 lives left, I couldn't manage to do it -- though I swear that I hit the target at least once -- it never worked.
The music was absolutely incredible though -- especially in the town and graveyard -- really wild watching the imps bop along slow and easy to the beat.

It sounds like that last level must be pretty bad. I would hate to have to give up at the carnival, but I hate repeating long levels again if you die. That takes a lot of the fun out of the game.
I won't spend too long on it because I have too many new games to play. This is the time of year I have to play games and I take advantage of it.
Thanks!!
