This is basically console bashing... let's refrain from it.

eh?

1. This whole stupid thread is a console bash party...
2. The only people I've ever seen holding a handheld console were children, so that's why I'm entitled to think that handhelds are for little kids.
3. People are entitled to their own opinions and if people are soooo offended by that comment, they have that handy ignore feature.
4. I was making a valid point.
5. Trix are for kids and I'd eat it... (actually, I'd rather eat cocoa pebbles or fruity pebbles) - so is that commercial a console bash?
6. Sheesh.
7. That said, I won't say that I thought handhelds were for little kids anymore.

I think you should get really angry about Static's comment and post a half-sensical reply.

Yes you were. But like usual, you wrapped it in an unnecessarily inflammatory statement. That was completely unintentional, of course.

Perhaps you need to get out a bit more, eh?

Well - where do all you handhelders go hang out and play your handheld? Is there like a coffeehouse or bar somewhere where a bunch of adults hang out and play their GBAs? Where can I 'get out' to so I can see all these adults playing GBAs - the only place I know of where I can hear about adults playing them is on this message board... so maybe you should've suggested I 'stay in a bit more' and 'get out a bit less'.

In my work, I go to people's houses and half of them have kids and all of the kids have these things and they're always playing them. I don't know any adults personally that have one - my neighbor is 16 and he has one. All the adults I know go out drinking and partying and whatever - I'm actually ashamed to tell them I'm a gamer, but I'd eat Fruity Pebbles in front of them. I'm just stating an opinion of stigma attached to those things - not really meant to be insulting. My point was that kids don't need cell phones, but they seem to be the market for these handhelds. I think everyone is a little oversensitive about the 'kiddy' thing. It's not like I handed you a rattle and a bonnet and said 'goo goo ga ga' to you.

Everyone is a little oversensitive about EVERYTHING in this forum. That's why we have rules that may seem a little silly to some. The next time a mod tells you to do something, I'd advise against giving him the rolleyes and saying "sheesh."

Closing off-track thread.
