Boktai - Who's got it?

I picked this game up today at work..seems pretty cool so far. However, I can't really play it that much since there are clouds all over my town! Argg!

Looks like a cool game, but the sun feature will keep me from trying it.

I vastly prefer to play my GBA games on the GBA player, and I don't like sitting out side because the mosquitos have been terrible around here lately.

Same for me, I only have a GBA player now. I was looking forward to it though.

So will this game work at all with the gameboy player? I was looking forward to it since its by Hideo Kojima, but the whole sun thing bugs, I never plan on playing anything outside.

It will work on the GBA Player, but you will have to have your Cube near a source of sunlight to win some of the battles. I believe some of the bosses are impossible to beat without sunlight.

It looked like something I'd pick if I didn't work overnight

No go for me.

You don't need the sun all the time. You can save the 'sun' in your 'bank'. But yes, sun does play a pretty important role in this game.

You need real sunlight to fight the bosses.

i'm definitely getting this one. i'm a little disappointed that it hasn't been advertised at a decent sale price. i think circuit city had it in their sunday ad for $34.99. i hope that there is a chance that target will have it on sale in the future. i'd love to play it right now since the weather this past week has been beautiful.
its just as well, because i'm spending my game time being slightly pissed off playing ffta.

Is it just me, or is this one of the worst times of year to release a game that requires sunlight to play? Its going to start getting dark at 5pm so that limits play time significantly. Sure kids coming home from school can play in sunlight, but it does kinda suck to think I can only play this game on the weekends when I'm not working.

Yes, the timing is strange. Perhaps a late spring release would have been more prudent?

For me the dealbreaker was the sun factor. There's no sun in the John (since I have family over that's the only time I get to play FFTA... I can pretend I'm doing something else for long periods of time )

Just be sure you're not sending them the message that you're doing a certain something else....

Gee, and to think that people call us nerds and geeks

note to self: NEVER borrow GatorDeb's GBA.
note to GD: I wouldn't borrow mine either

Ill be picking this up very soon, I play my GBA at school anyway and this would be the perfect game to play in between classes.
