Gamecube: Ikaruga for 14.99 at Best Buy w/ coupon

Credit goes to Engineer_J at VGtalk.com

Best buy has Ikaruga for 19.99 and use the gamers coupon, its 14.99. From the reviews I have seen this is a good shooter game. Supplies maybe limited, out of three best buys by me only 1 showed in stock. Here's the link to the game.

I took a friend with me and we got the last two copies at the Lewisville, Tx store. I bought the gamers gift card then went back around with the game to the same clerk. He said, "scamming the system I see," I said yeah you got me.

Good luck..

Doh! None for store pickup in Virginia. Guess I'll have to pay 19.99 instead of the usual 14.99 for a change.

Crap.. only 2 out-of-the-way Best Buys have this game in stock according to BestBuy.com.

But I really kinda want it.. I hate to ask this, but where is the coupon again, is it that gift card you buy? I think the trip would be worth it for $15.

Ya know.. I wish they would port Radiant Silvergun to Gamecube and bring it over, that is the finest shooting game ever created.. period.

(Yes, I know Ikaruga is the "sort of" sequel.. but it's still not as good!)

I might have to pick this up. I like a good shooter.

Are you a genuine RS fan or are you just another brainwashed fanboy who has never played the game but assumes it must be the greatest game ever because of countless mentions in videogame publications?

I want them to leave Radiant Silvergun alone. The Saturn version is about as good as it can get.

W.w.w.w.WHAT?!

I am a genuine fan my friend.. I have kept my Saturn FOR THIS GAME ONLY. I used to know where all the dogs were, I used to be able to rack up some serious "yellow" combos, my friends would ask me to play it so my mad bullet dodgin skillz would amaze other people.

I see no problem with them simply porting it to the Gamecube, making no change to the Saturn version other than re-enabling the third player (from the arcade version). I would just like this game to be out there and avaliable for everybody to play and experience.

I see. Sorry, you just run into so many phonies now and again...

I don't think it would do any better than Ikaruga on Gamecube. I guess a wide release would be great, but it would also reduce the value of my Saturn copy...hehe...

Then again, i've always wanted a domestic version of Alien Soldier.

Crap.. only 2 out-of-the-way Best Buys have this game in stock according to BestBuy.com.
the coupon is included when you buy the gift card but it has to be the one that says 'gamers gc' found in the video games section and other places.

by the way if you don't want to drive to a bb that's out of your way, you can just order it online and then go to your local best buy to use your coupon &/or gc's to adjust the price. i made a couple of calls to confirm this so it should work.

that's what i've opted to do myself since the nearest bb that has this in stock is about 50 miles away.

Heh.. cool thanks for the info. Both Best Buy's that have it here are about 20-25 miles.. so I might make it a weekend trip. No way I want to deal with Dallas traffic after work hours.

I assume you have to buy the giftcard first and then use it later?

actually you can buy the gc go outside, tear off the coupon and go back in the store and you it--if you wish to be 'hardcore' about it. the cool thing is you can put any amount on the gc. today i bought three gc's and put $2 on each of 'em.

Actually, I didn't even leave the store. I had the guy at the front put a sticker on it showing I already purchased the gc. Then, I went back to the game section, picked up the game and headed straight back to the cashier. Thats where I got the comment from my first post.

I didn't take the gc out of the CD case. I just handed everything to the cashier.
