CHICAGO, (Reuters) - Shares of Take-Two Interactive Software Inc. jumped in pre-open trade after the video game publisher on Wednesday reported a larger profit for the quarter ended in July and raised its guidance for the fiscal year.
The company also said it would buy smaller publisher TDK Mediactive.
Take-Two shares climbed to $32.35 on the Instinet electronic brokerage system from Tuesday's Nasdaq close of $29.75.

One can only hope...I was a bit surprised to see in the new egm that the follow up game to last year's Battelecry is going to be a first person shooter set in the Scott Bernard/Rand/Rook timeline. I will remain optimistic and being the Robotech junkie that I am, will probably buy it no matter what...as long as Yellow Dancer isn't in it.
