Tetris has become THE party game

My buds from work come over all the time.

Our first party game was Halo
Then we moved to Nightfire
and then to Mario Party 4 ( which I traded in because I grew to hate it )

When I bought Tetris Worlds Online I never thought this group of guys would be into it. Now it's all we play. I just had people leave after being over for hours and hours of Tetris.

I never got into the PS2 version because I didn't have a multi tap. With 4 controller ports and LIVE it's my new favorite game....until I go out and spend 50.00 on a real game.

DeathRow can be had for like 15 bucks on half.com and elsewhere... it's awesome for 4 people.

Never played any of the new ones, but I remember the old Nintendo version was tons of fun!

with so many free versions out there for pc, i find it hard to buy a console tetris. I guess if 4 player joy is what you want though, its the only option. tetris is definitely one of the better mp games of all time. I like Bust a Move and Super Puzzle Fighter IIx (have em on saturn) alot for mp too.... and, of course, there is always bomberman. Saturn version has up to 10 players if u have dual multi-taps. yikes! Also, how about Fire Pro Wrestling on saturn?

There was a very good tetris implementation on the N64 that I played heaps with friends - hours just disappeared.

Other good party games have been mario kart, f-zero 64, fuzion frenzy (easy to pick up and play), occasional halo, goldeneye (although doesn't hold up so well these days), and chu chu rocket. Sega Tennis (sega tennis 2k2 or vitua tennis 2) is great also if you have some tennis fans about .

If your friends like Tetris, you owe it to yourself to find a copy of Super Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo somewhere. Somehow. It's only the greatest 'falling block' game to ever be produced.

You should also try out Chu Chu Rocket.

It was only 14.99 new and it's been enough fun to make it worth that small amount.

If you have an N64, then Pokemon Puzzle League is like silicon crack. Only two player, but still fun.

Virtua Tennis for Dreamcast is the ultimate party game around here.
