Be aware that those adaptors don't adapt the control scheme, so you would still have to press both shoulder buttons.

I own a router. It allows the signal to go to both my computer and the outlet by my TV where I plug my cable into the PS2 NA. My question was in regards to when I get my Xbox online. The way I see it, I can either have one cable that I unplug from one system and put in the back of another when I play that system online, or two cables running to the broadband plug at the wall, unplugging at that site. Is there another option I'm not aware of, like a switcher or an adaptor that allows both the PS2 and Xbox to be plugged in at the same time to the same outlet. There's no way I'm drilling another hole in my wall just to get the second plug.

Yes, you need a switch. Most routers are actually a router + integrated switch; therefore, you usually can use a router as a switch alone by turning off the NAT routing features. However, switches are cheaper than another router so unless you just happen to have another router laying around, get a switch. You could also use just a plain hub if you have one around, but I wouldn't buy one if you don't. Switches are much more efficient in network utilization than hubs and are about the same price. So buy a set of wireless access points. In any case, my suggestion would still work, as would the suggestion to buy a hub or switch.

Also, Microsoft will be putting out a new wireless hookup marketed specifically for online console gaming, etc in the near future. It will be basically a set of wireless access points. It was featured in the July Microsoft retailers newsletter.

Nyko has one out as well. Basically a dumbed down wireless hookup.

Thanks Tarantino, those all sound good to me, especially Time Splitters. I am looking forward to Soul Calibre 2 as well, but I still am not sure sure what platform to go for. I do like pretty graphics, but gameplay is still higher on my list. I think I'll rent all three first.

And apparently I should invest in Live too? I think this might be something I'll look into sometime in the next few months. I'm mostly interested in the online downloadable content. And playing some of those sports games without a computer you can demolish would be neat.

SC 2 should be good on any console. I think it really comes down to which extra character you want and if you want 5.1 sound. You might try the GC version in any store with a demo system and see if you like it.

I don't need a wireless router; I already have an outlet in my wall. I just had an idea, though. I think I can rig up a second plug in the same outlet I installed for my PS2 (it has the plug in one space and a dummy cover in the other). That shouldn't take long at all and all I'll need is a couple more cat 5 wires and then I can plug it into an empty spot on my router. I think that should work well. Interesting about the Nyko wireless system, that is a good idea. It shouldn't have to be so hard or that expensive to get your Xbox or PS2 online.
