lol, madden too hard. Yeah, maybe if ya play on 'all madden' and max out everything. I personally think it is way too easy/arcadey....150 - 14 is NOT a real NFL score. Still a good game though and I still need to pick up 2004

blasphemy!!!

As for the person that metioned Gameday, yeah it was cool in like 1996 when the PS was brand new and everything. Ever since then, Gameday has been crap. At least their commercials are funny. I just saw the one where the guy on the cart crashes and the cannons go haywire, lmao.

funny stuff

That's the commercial that's featuring the superbowl champions of 2004. (One can dream)

lmao...

your loss thunderball.....shame you let your inability to understand the plays, and the fact that you weren't good at it make you dislike the game....

when F-Zero is boring you'll be wishing you had Madden again

I didn't buy either of these today, for various reasons, but you see, I've always felt FZERO games were just challenging me to do better.

In Madden, I feel its forcing me to give up.

Speaking of guides, what is the point of buying a strategy guide for a game like Madden 2004? I mean is it safe to say you either suck royally or have sunk to a new low if you have to pay $15 to learn how to play and/or the secrets of a sports game?

Just my opinion, of course. Then again, if the guide was a penny at Best Buy, I'd buy one just because I'd be curious. I just wonder what is in guides like that. Best plays? Teams? There just doesn't seem like enough to base an entire guide on that you can't figure out yourself.

I cannot understand one's need for any guide along with the fact you are spending another $10.00 or $15.00 you could use for another game!!! The younger and inpatient gamers of today have created a gold mine for gaming companies. Whatever happened to one spending an hour or so on a puzzle and feeling the sense of accomplishment when you figured it out?

I agree. I only look online if I am absolutley stumped. Like with the Metroid Prime problem in my other post. I must have died like 10 times before I asked for help, lol.

I'd never pay $15 for info you can find online for free, although it would be convienient to have a guide at your side. To each his own, I guess

I for one am glad for strategy guides. I don't miss for one instant the amount of time my brother and I spent trying to figure out what to do next in the original Metal Gear: "I hear you have to punch a wall somewhere with the glove."

Back then, there was no way to verify the information, and if you didn't know how to beat a game, and your friends didn't either -- then you were just stuck. There were many games I never finished then, not because I didn't want to, but because I never could figure out what to do next.

As far as a strategy guide goes for Madden, there's so much to the game, I'm suprised that there isn't a guide for it. As I've mentioned earlier, there's a brutally steep learning curve, and unless you've either been playing Madden for years, or understand football from both a coaching and playing level, and you don't have someone to teach you, I don't know if you'll ever get good at the game.

Madden 2001, my first PS2 game, my last Madden game. Too many shenanigans to deal with in that game. I completely 100% agree with Thunderball, eventhough I dont suck at it as bad still, having to learn the game like that becomes tedious and drains the fun out of it.

Nfl Blitz, the best football game ever

Madden is being sold via PayPal on Wednesday.

SC2 and FZeroGX are now part of my collection.

I hate John Madden.
