so I finally got an E-reader

it was a moment of weakness officer, I swear!
I ordered one off flea-bay so it didn't hurt the wallet too much.

Now,
I want cards.
specifically, animal crossing cards.
it seems the whole e-reader thing didn't take off like nintendo hoped cause I can't seem to find any cards. nothin at bb, cc, or target.

where the cards be at?

You might have to go to game stores for some of the older cards. BB, CC all carried these when they were newly released, but apparently didn't want to restock once the initial supply runs out.

EB has the Animal Crossing cards buy 1 get 1 free now. The NES classic cards are new msrp 3.29. Toys R Us might have free Air Hockey card still. Target sometimes has NES classics for clearance. Super Mario Advance 4 is supposed to come pre packed with e-cards for some extra goodies. Mario Party-e is gimmicky but "interesting". Animal Crossing becomes super-sweet once you get the design cards. Metroid clothes and Zelda wallpaper/tile. I could go on...

The one thing that's going to finally make me break down and buy them are the Super Mario Bros 3 cards.

BTW Squidget I have 90% of a set... I have around 500 cards... e-mail me at [email protected] if you are interested

Wow, how many AC cards are there? I was hoping to someday get them all, just to satisfy my OCD, but I'm hoping it won't cost a fortune to get them all.
They are up to the 4th series now, right?

Oh BTW my Animal Crossing cards are from the first series, and yes there are more now

I have 500 but I have repeats but I have around 90% of a set. I needed I think 6 out of 60 to have the complete set.

There are 4 series of Animal Crossing cards so far. I've had an E-reader since it launched and it can get expensive. The AC e-cards are pretty cool though.

I picked up Mario Party e-Reader edition from CompUSA one day for $4... yup... its normally $10. It's pretty fun. Its a board game, but their are mini-games on the cards. Some of them are kinda of fun... some I just play for hours!

Since you seem to be getting everything else... why not? It wouldn't hurt.

I dont fully understand the e-reader. For example the AC cards, is it possible to just have to scan them once, then they save unto your save file? Or is it something you have to keep doing?

You can only have 8 patterns at one time. If you happen to replace it with something else, you can just scan it again.

Each card will give you the same "present" every time you scan it at the etm machine. The password is character sensitive so if the character resides in your village and you mail him his passcode you will more than likely get something better than if you mailed it to Joe Schmo. I just bought two more packs and got two free. 13 out of 20 cards I needed which isn't bad considering I've already got 140+ cards.

There are going to be new Pokemon and new trainers to battle. I'm looking forward to those and the SMB3 cards - new levels and items! It's going to be AWESOME. I decided to accept the $35 offer

BUMP.

I think i'm going to buy an e-reader and i'm curious about a few things.

Can anyone list what Old-school games are available on an Ecard?

Can anyone list what GC/GBA games utilize the E-reader?

And What animal crossing cards are avilable, and what do the different types actually do?

yeah I have aquestion, I know it works with GBASP, but after I scan a card do you have to keep them e reader connected to the system, I just want it to play air hockey, and other nes games, and I do not want to have the e-reader hanging from the bottom of the SP
