Animal Crossing "price cut" at Target

I was in Target yesterday and they have cut the price of Animal Crossing to $29.99. Just thought I'd pass on the info.

That's a good price, since it comes with a 59 Memory card (but for newbies, a saved game takes the whole card).

Too bad I already have it.

Huh? I don't have a GC and I've never heared that before. That's not the best memory solution. How many memory cards do most GC owners have? There is a larger memory card, isn't there?

There is a larger card (251 blocks). Other than sports titles, most games only use a few blocks...so one 251 card goes a long way. Animal Crossing uses 57 blocks, which is why they included the free card.

There's also two classic NES "presents" for the first player of a new town. Just this weekend I caught my last fish (jellyfish). Now 3/4 of my musem is done. All that's left are those pesky bugs. This game is great. I picked it up launch day w/e-reader and have been addicted since. Sometimes Target has is packed with ANOTHER free memory card (251) on top of the AC one.

Yeah I saw the same thing yesterday at a target in IL....

Is this title scheduled for some kind of platinum price drop?? or is this just a fluke and it will shoot back up to 50??

The Target by me had it still with the bonus 251 card. It's in the same packaging as Metroid, Mario Party & Starfox w/bonus memory card.

It's bundled in a blister case with the game...so it'll be loose when you take the game out.

No luck at the Target closest to me. No copies of Animal Crossing, with or without the extra Memory card.

I'm going to try one near work tomorrow.

This is MY concern. Should I pick this title up now b/c it is becoming scarce? Best Buy no longer seems to carry this title, and the Target I was in last night only had a few copies. I'd like to wait until it comes down to $19.99 since I already have plenty to play right now - but I don't want it to go OOP on me!

And there's Animal Crossing 2 on the way, so it may drop even lower.

I see it in stores all the time, it doesn't seem scarce to me. But anyhow, it's a great price, and the answer is yes, pick it up if you don't have it, it's a very fun and addicting game.

No AC at the Target. I have at least three more that I can hit so hopefully I will turn up something.

I picked one up with the 251 memory card at the Target in Rego Park Queens NY. Dunno if it was the last one cuz I couldn't see in the case (they had some Mario Sunshine & Metroid Primes), but they had a lot of the game by itself with no extra memory card.

Found about 10 copies of AC (without the extra memory card) at a Target. I am going to keep looking for one with the memory card. They also had Pikmin for $29.99, but only had one copy ... not even sure if this is a good price.
