Decker, i'll keep that in mind. i tested the ps2 by trying out ssx tricky, which has always, worked, and sure enough, that was fine. then i put VFEvo back in, went to the browser for a few seconds, and then loaded. and now, it just loads...

anyway, if it happens, i'll look at cleaning the system. it is old.

FFX is now a GH. I saw it with the new red border in several stores.

I haven't been able to find FFX in any of the stores. I checked Best Buy and Circuit City. Where did you find it at?

Hopefully it was just a fluke. Another option if it does that more and more often is to call the Sony support line. I called them and told them what was wrong. They told me to mail the system to them and they'd fixed it for free. Apparantly my unit was very dirty and required a lot of cleaning. They sent it back with a couple of warnings (more like admonitions) that I need to keep it clean and vaccuum out the vents. I guess it can get pretty dirty after a while with that big cooling fan.

I saw it at EB for $19.99. Nothing on Kingdom Hearts though.

I just picked up FFX for 14.99 (19.99 minus $5.00 coupon). It wasn't in Greatest Hits packaging, which is even (a little) better, since that packaging is not the best.

While I was there, I picked up the Final Fantasy Origins guide for a penny.

It's not on the Greatest Hits list, but I saw on CircuitCity.com that Hitman 2: Silent Assassain is now at the price of $19.99. However when I went to the store there wasn't a copy in site.

Really a gread deal, absolutely. I haven't picked it up yet, but I very well might give my copy of VF4 to my stepdad and get Evo for myself.

Between Evo, SC2 and the recent markdown of DOA3, it's certainly a good time to be a fan of the genre.

Kingdom Hearts...when?

i just picked up Tekken 4 from best buy - priced at $19.99 (less $5 ). they didn't have the cool red greatest hits case version so i just grabbed the regular one.

That's funny I got the red case but I don't like it. They scream "CHEAP!" from my shelf... like these are the regular games, and these are the ghetto games. I prefer the black ones.

I assume young was being ironic. Those GH cases are just butt-ugly. Why can't they follow Xbox's lead. The Platnum cases look nice, not cheap.

Are they putting them in RED Cases, or are you talking about the red banner across the top? The Xbox Platinum hits are bad enough...

And I don't mind the PH cases. They do look different when lined up with the other Xbox games, but by themselves I think they look alright and don't scream "cheapskate!" the way the GH titles do.

lol, yeah. i remember people didn't like it. honestly, i don't mind as they are cheap. yes, it could definitely be better.

i'll try to pull the same tactic w/ kingdom hearts when that's available. i think the key is to show up on sunday as perhaps they recieve the GH versions on tuesday?
