Please help.Xbox-saves.com questions (Mega X)
So I went to xbox-saves.com for the first time and it was introducing a new product called Mega X. I am completely confused as to how it works, what it enables, and what requirements are needed. I think it allows various downloads on the net to go on the Box but do you need Xbox Live for it to work (which I dont have). Anyone else have it or know about it.
Thanx

I don't have one, but I've been thinking about it.
My understanding is that all it does is give you the ability to copy save games from your xbox to a usb pen drive, and then finally to your pc. Since the usb pen drive is formated with FATX(a Xbox Fat Table) and not Fat32, windows machines cannot directly read from it. Mega-X-Key is the driver that you need so it can read from FATX. You then can copy your save games to the internet, or download others from the internet (including updated sports rosters).
I think you get:
1. a Xbox controller to usb conversion cable [url=http://xbox-saves.com/MXK_HW_Guide.htm](you could make this by hand)[url]
2. a 32 meg usb pen drive (not just any 32meg pen drive will work, but I believe that you could buy another brand.)
3. Fatx driver for windows (I've not searched to see if I could find it.)
You don't need an xbox live connection to use this.

you can make yourself your own device using a memory card, usb cord and a controller cord so you can transfer saves from your pc to your xbox. I wouldn't go and buy the mega x key thing.
