Best deal for Madden 2004?

So far, looking through this week's ads I saw:

Target giving away some cheetohs and a 2 litre of Pepsi with Madden 2004

Best Buy offering $10 any greatest hits title for XBox, PS2, or GC with Madden 2004

Circuit City offering a $10 gift card instantly with Madden 2004

Obviously the Circuit City deal is the best unless you're REALLY hungry. But they advertise as getting it on Thursday while Best Buy advertises getting it in Wednesday at noon.

Any other deals out there. I'm going to go for the Circuit City deal and use the $10 towards the online adapter.

Someone at maddenmania.com posted that they got Madden 2004 at Circuit City on Saturday (8/9). This was a Miami area store.

There's a word we won't hear you say much in the Bombdrop league. At least when you're playing Tampa Bay.

You traded WAY too much. NCAA alone should have gotten you within $12 of Madden. Street and Madden '03 are probably $5-7 each, I would make sure and never visit that store again. EB is running a special for Madden as an extra $5 per title towards it.

I'm sure that copy of NCAA 2004 is sitting on the shelves with a price of $45 now.

54-12=42...i don't think any major store will give you 42 for a used game they're selling for 45, the most i've gotten for a game was 35 at a small mom & pop place in queens..

I have seen $37 for trade when Splinter Cell and Ghost Recon both came out. I almost traded in my SC since I only paid $30. Why would you pay 54 for a 50 game?
$27 for NCAA is way too cheap, hell I am trading in Halo for that much.

Most people on this board usually do not discuss tax when talking price, I have yet to see anyone mention tax in the DVD or other bargain forums.

I got the game at EB Games today. They're having a promotion where they'll add $5 to the trade-in price of any games you bring in (no exceptions). Sure, you're still getting the shaft on some games, but considering that you could trade in any awful game & get at least $5 for it, it's a decent deal.

Also, I had checked some other places first & the amount they offered (before the $5 bonus) was approx the same at all places.

Finally, this deal is only for EA Sports games or Soul Caliber.

I turned in all my old sports games that would have gotten less than $1 each (Madden 2001, Madden 2002, NHL 2002, etc.). With the Madden Bucks promotion at EB, and ended up scoring 2004 for $20.

Took advantage of this deal as well. Traded in 8 craptastic games which normally would have been worth $21.75 (One game was worth $7, so the rest averaged $2 of trade-in value) for $61.75. Took home Madden and some EB credit.

I picked up the GC version at EB free after I traded in about 5 hardly played PS2 greatest hits. Not a bad deal at all.

Oh and the GC version got a 9.4 rating at IGN, suprising, as I heard GC versions of sports games are usually crappy. So I took a chance

yeah, i'm trading that in for a bit of your non-creative humor, a-hole..

you vets seem to care too much what others do with their money and their games...

ever hear of a lil thing called sales tax? just cause you don't talk about it on this board does not mean it will not get charged on your card, as far as your Splinter cell price, woop-dee-f'n-doo...30 for a new game sounds highly unlikely, but whatever you say..

i posted my experience, only to get crapped on by vets..geez

go forum!!

Re: Madden 2004 PC, Best Buy supposedly will have it for $29.99 this Sunday, so either wait or buy it now and price match.

The Circuit City here in Tampa Bay had plenty of copies of all console versions yesterday, 8/12. I couldn't beleive I caught a break. I was able to get Madden early and a $10 gift card!

The night before EB wouldn't sell it to me without a pre-order. Oh well, I guess they lost a $50 sale.

Doug
