I think they let you cancel the order after you get the demo. Then you are only charged the $5

Note: We will be unable to cancel orders after the bonus disk ships unless it is returned to us in like-new condition.

DOOH! I went to Electronics Boutique to pre-order the game and get the promo disc, since I have a $20 EB gift certificate to blow.
They had just run out of the promo disc when I got there. Said they would be getting more in mid next week.

I loved the demo. I can see why people who didn't like the first 2 games wouldn't like it, but they shouldn't be wasting time on a sequel to games they didn't like anyway.
It's exactly what I wanted in the sequel as a huge fan of the first 2. More of the same game play, with some big new wrinkles (namely the third person on foot stuff).
The old atari game didn't do anything for me though, so it's a pretty weak disk compared to the Zelda one or the rumored Mario kart one. It would have been great if they put a souped up version of the origional N64/PC rogue squadron on there.
At any rate, I can't wait until Rebel Strike comes out next month.

I never played the first two games. The graphics on this game look sweet. The linear gameplay just didn't have a strong appeal for me, then again it takes a lot to interest me in the time it takes to play through an RPG.
I remember playing the Atari Star Wars game in the arcades, but going at it again had little nostalgic appeal. There had to have been a better Star Wars game to pull out of the archives.

I'm planning to hit BB this Friday to see if they have the disc so this info could come in handy.

I just found this today at my local BB. It had a $5.00 sticker on it which I assumed was the pre-order price, but when I took it to the register it scanned for .01 since the sku's matched she said it was a promo and let me have it.
YMMV

I got one of these for 1 cent at BB. They had 3 left, well 2 actually because as I got there there were 2 other guys about my age grabbing one too. Demo was sweet, can't wait for the final. I haven't tried out the star wars atari arcade game yet though, I'm planning to get into that this evening.

Confirmed the deal at Best Buy for the Star Wars bonus disc. Limit of 2 per customer. The price really is 1 cent. The Best Buy store that I went to even had the 1 cent price advertised on the shelf. Better get them quick.
