Is the Xbox supposed to be noisy?

So my Xbox started making an odd sound when I turned it on this morning. Everything seems to work, but its making 2 sounds I did not take notice of before. First I can hear the fan, am I supposed to hear it? I never took notice of it before. Second, whenever a cd is loading, it makes a sound like old hard drive makes, the grinding type sound, almost like its clicking softly.

Are these normal sounds or should I maybe take it back for an exchange. I only bought it June 20th and received June 25th.

(These might be normal and I just did not notice, I usually have an air conditioner on when I play but its off today.)

In case it is not normal though, warranty is what, 90 days on these?

Yes, you can hear the fan.
The disc noise is not good.
Exchange it now, don't put it off!

If you hear a "clicking" like a hard drive is being accessed, that might actually be the Xbox hard drive running. I wouldn't know, since i don't have an Xbox. Either way, take it back.
