I recommend hosting a game on Midnight Club 2 where everyone has to have the same car/bike. It makes it a bit more competitive that way and comes down to driving skill rather than who has 4 Nitro's and who has none.

Well, even though I've had my Network Adaptor since Sept., I finally moved and got a high speed connection (thank God). ...
Just out of curiosity, did you ever hook it up to dial up modem? I have been thinking about picking up this modem with the upcoming release of NCAA Football 2004, but only have dial up and I am concerned that it will not be worth the money for the modem. I read one review where a guy said he got disconnected 99% of the time.

Thanks,

DAC

My dial up modem was so painfully slow, I could barely get a 28.8 connection. I wouldn't have even dreamed of trying to hook it up to a dial up. Sorry I can't help there.

Well, if you search around the multiple servers they have available, you're bound to find plenty of newbie rooms. It's not that tough to find rooms labeled "Noobs only" or "Newbies" or something like that. The only small problem with those rooms is that sometimes experienced players will invade those newbie rooms in order to rack up some easy kills.

Don't get too discouraged if you get killed easily at first. I was once a newbie myself, too, and now I'm pretty decent (right s}{ammer? ;) ) Even if you lose a game for your team because you died, most players nowadays won't bash you for it -- everyone knows it's just a game and it's all in fun.

Decker want to try again? :)

Amplitude has been a terrible online experience. Haven't been able to join ONE game after an hour of sitting here. The ones I do find open, it cannot connect to all players.

Maybe you can help me!!..I've tried to figure out how to host a game for a long time for this very reason, either everyone is playing "cruise" or it's a bunch of a-holes who just use turbo all the time.

How do you host a game in Midnight Club 2???

I haven't played much because of this..Please help!

Thanks!!!

I agree completely...only way to get better is thru practice, which you can never get playing single player (maybe aiming), You learn so much from just talking or watching other players. I was horrible maybe 2-3 months ago, but now i get crooked number kills, it is a very fun game once you get the hang of it: where the other team spawns, where is a good place to hide out, which guns to use, etc etc..

keep trying, maybe at first, u can just focus on staying alive first, shooting second..

Initially you have the option to host a game or to join a game. The menu system is not that obvious but if you go right and left while in networked mode you should see the host game option. Anyway, once there you can setup a circuit race (crusing is lame) and under race options you can set the weather and the type of car you want everyone to drive. If you don't want to go through all that you can always ask everyone in the room to choose the same thing and sometimes they'll be cool and do it.
