I recommend hosting a game on Midnight Club 2 where everyone has to have the same car/bike. It makes it a bit more competitive that way and comes down to driving skill rather than who has 4 Nitro's and who has none.

Re: Finally Got My PS2 Online -- Now What?
Originally posted by Decker Well, even though I've had my Network Adaptor since Sept., I finally moved and got a high speed connection (thank God). ... Thanks, DAC |
My dial up modem was so painfully slow, I could barely get a 28.8 connection. I wouldn't have even dreamed of trying to hook it up to a dial up. Sorry I can't help there.

Originally posted by Decker I wish there was a room for newbies; it's disheartening to join a game and get killed in the first few seconds. Don't get too discouraged if you get killed easily at first. I was once a newbie myself, too, and now I'm pretty decent (right s}{ammer? ;) ) Even if you lose a game for your team because you died, most players nowadays won't bash you for it -- everyone knows it's just a game and it's all in fun. |
Decker want to try again? :)

Amplitude has been a terrible online experience. Haven't been able to join ONE game after an hour of sitting here. The ones I do find open, it cannot connect to all players.

I haven't played much because of this..Please help! Thanks!!! |
Originally posted by Lethal Nemesis Well, if you search around the multiple servers they have available, you're bound to find plenty of newbie rooms. It's not that tough to find rooms labeled "Noobs only" or "Newbies" or something like that. The only small problem with those rooms is that sometimes experienced players will invade those newbie rooms in order to rack up some easy kills. Originally posted by The Franchise Initially you have the option to host a game or to join a game. The menu system is not that obvious but if you go right and left while in networked mode you should see the host game option. Anyway, once there you can setup a circuit race (crusing is lame) and under race options you can set the weather and the type of car you want everyone to drive. If you don't want to go through all that you can always ask everyone in the room to choose the same thing and sometimes they'll be cool and do it. Thanks! |
