Is anyone else looking forward to Mario Golf?
 

Man, I had a blast with this game. One of the few games that I could have fun with solo, with friends, and even with the fiancee. I think its going to drop on the 28th, and I will be picking it up. Hopefully Mario Tennis gets a street date soon too.

Anyone else like the original or looking forward to the new title?

The original was a lot of fun, and I look forward to EGM's review of this in the next issue.

Yes, from everything I've seen it looks like Camelot has produced another fun golf game.

I don't know why Nintendo isn't hyping this one. I mean, it's Mario after all, and the first game was excellent.

has anyone heard anything about a new mario tennis?

I'm pretty pumped about this also.

The guy at Gamestop said that it would be out on 7-29, but the Amazon.com site says 7-31. Anyone know which is correct?

Okay, I didn't know what the hype was about the GB Player and I ended up buying one. So what is the hype with this game? Can someone who thinks golf is boring enjoy this? Is it like mini-golf with obstacles? What is it that makes it fun?

well, it's golf. Which is great in it's own right. And it's Mario. Another plus.

Add to that Nintendo's ability to add fun to almost any game, and you get this. A fun golf game.

its a mixture of both really (at least if it follows the same formula as the other one).

you have some regular holes and then some "tweeked" holes with funky layouts and obsticles. plus they throw in cool mini-games (i believe mini-golf was one). nintendo can make everything fun, and this is no exception. the last one was a complete blast.

Does anyone who've played the demo tell us if the mechanics is close to tiger woods or the 3point click of hot shots golf.

N64 version was the 3point click, haven't played the demo for this one though.

What could be more fun than swinging Mario's wood?

The demo had two different swings; auto & manual. The auto appeared to be just one button push and the manual 3pc. The demo also had a menu option for GBA connectivity. Anyone know details? The demo for PN03 was cool too.

I am looking forward to the release! Anybody know if it will have putt-putt on it like the one for 64?

I hate you people... my wallet hates you too... I've been reading the reviews and now I want it :( I'll be picking it up on release date. It sounds like fun.

I can't wait for this one either. There's just no better way to spend a lazy summer afternoon than to sit in the air conditioning and play some Mario Golf.

I think the only way I would enjoy a golf game/ golf in general is if female porn stars were the caddys. And each time a person made under par the caddy would take off a peice of clothing, until they are completely nude and start strattiling the clubs and do the Happy gilmore ridding the bull dance.

I can't wait for this and Tennis. Best multiplayer games ever.

I don't know why, but I hate this phrase almost as much I hate rap itself.

As for Mario Golf. Loved the first one, but I still haven't finished Tiger Woods, so I will hold off until it hits the clearance rack, or half price at Sam's Club.

Looks like this game will be $49.99 plus a free $10 gift card at CC this week. Another sweet deal from CC.

Not as cheap as Circuit City but Mario Golf at Target has an exclusive extra course (Target Bullseye Tour Tournament).

Could you provide a link to this? Getintothegame.com doesn't mention (it's Target's gaming front).

It's in their Sunday Ad. I don't know anything more than that.

What the!? Exclusive target bullseye tournament? This is the first I've heard of it. Is it a whole new tournament mode in the actual game?

I'm also really looking forward to this after playing the in-store demo. I think you meant July 30th, right :).

GatorDeb, that GBA game looks like Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland. Its a fantastic game and I highly reccomend it.

It doesnt say its an extra course in the add, I was wondering what the hell it was though.

Is this game going to be JUST like the first one? I love that one but I dont want to get the new one to find out they changed the format to somehting that totally sucks now. I want it to play like the first one, only with better graphics.
