Can't stop playing Baldur's Gate DA(Xbox)
 

Just started playing this game and can't stop. This game is pretty cool. I bought it when it was on sale for 9.99. That was a steal. Did anyone else enjoy this game?

QUICK -- spin in circles until the controller cord wraps around u and gets pulled out of the Xbox then run or roll away.

I played it once through with the Fighter and it was great. I started over on Hard difficulty with the Mage and she sucks ass.

I had a lot of fun with the Archer. It is a fun little game, especially for the price.

and btw, the mage doesn't suck once you get more powerful spells; wizards are always weak at low levels. At higher levels the wizard is probably the most powerful.

I chose the archer the first time around, also. I was wondering if there is replay value with the other two characters? Is there anything different as in the storyline or exploring different territories with different characters?

I picked it what at microcenter a couple of months ago for 10 dollars. Great game with a great price. I really enjoyed it.

I'll have to try that tonight. LOL

BG 2 is coming out real soon,i believe it will have 7 characters to choose from.
The 2 player (fullscreen/not split) option is one of the things i fell in love with on this game,the new Lord of the Rings: Return of the King will also be 2 players.

Loved the game. Played as the Archer on PS2. Loved that you could play for hours or just a few minutes and still have fun. Also the hack and slash was just what I needed after playing crappy Resident Evil with it's shite controls and inventory BS.

my son and I play this for hours at a time. Geat game.

I'm so into this game right now. I got it for 19.99 for GC at costco. I'm playing through solo as the dwarf (in the oynx tower, so many good prizes and no using recall) and a friend and i are playing through as a team (he's the archer and i'm the mage). The dwarf is so much better than the archer and the mage, i'm hoping the mage gets some better spells soon. Melf's acid arrow? come on, it does like 20 damage. the flame thing is alright but its usually better to just bash someone.

The sorceress kicks butt. It's all about Ball Lightning. If you want the spell as early as you can get it you must not spend any of your ability points until you're able to afford it. Then you'll be able to kill multiple creatures at once on screen and off.

How long is the game?

It takes about 20 hours to finish.... But after you finish it (on any level of difficulty), you unlock a mini game called the Gauntlet (15 min to clear a very tough dungeon), if you get through that, you get to unlock the game in a much higher difficulty....

I couldn't put the game down until I finish it, but I am not too good at the Gauntlet minigame!

Fantastic game, especially at $9.99 from BB. The backgrounds look great and i love the water ripple fx.

I played it about half way with the archer then got curious about the other characters and played it half way with the Sorceress (chain lighting is the BEST). I finished it with the Archer and now starting it again with the Dwarf.

I really like that fact that the Sorceress can use sword and shield. Makes it much easier to survive when still low level.

Archer - Must haves are Hail of Arrows and Arcane quiver. Deadly.

This game was definately a steal. I pricematched at CC, not remembering the 110% guarantee and the game rang up for $6. CC had it priced at $49.99. Definately worth as much as a hamburger.

This is a great game!!! And yes... Ball lightning kicks ass as the elvish mage... 180 damage / second to any targets near the ball if it's level 5 !!!! enemies drop like flies... it's great....

Plus the archer... and dwarf are fun... plus if you finish the game in extreme mode... you can play as a fourth character... although he's not as fun as the others since he only uses the weapons he comes with... although they aren't too bad.

I LOVE this game... and for 9.99... it's a STEAL.
I was disappointed to find out that BG2 isn't coming out for Gamecube (at least at first).... =(

You need to play this game... and play it with a friend... it's great fun.. I can't stop playing it... my elvish chick is level 24 or something obnoxious... I just keep importing her back into a new extreme game and playing again.. cause it's fun to get all the best items. Ring of Strength +15, Amulet of Constitution +15, Elven full plate mail +5 ... etc.... very fun.

Yes, anyone who says the mage is too weak hasn't saved up their points for level 5 ball lightning. 180 damage to all enemies in its path, plus pretty fast casting rate, and low mana cost per use. Just cast it in a direction, and run after it, watching things fall over.

I got it first for PS2, then picked it up again for Xbox when it was 9.99.

Okay, stop you guys - you're going to make me buy this!

$10 isn't much more than the cost of renting it. Great game. You're getting weaker jrutz.... weaker... give in to the dark side....

I just started playing this. I find it okay, a poor mans Diablo. I would like 1000 times better if it was XBL. Maybe BG2 will be.

I too recently picked it up for $9.99 at BB. After playing every night for 10 nights, I finished it last week. I might have to play through again. Great game indeed!!! Definitely looking forward to BGDA2.

The best thing about this game was the weapon names. Where else can you get the "Adamantine Flaming Bastard Master Longbow of Disruption +5?" :)

What's up with the square blue guys that spit at you? The axe doesn't seem to hurt them.

Grab a bow and start launching arrows. Those are the infamous 'Gelatinous Cubes'. Arrows seems to be the best way to deal with them, get up close and you'll get clobbered.
