Not sure of the exact number but I think I'm level 17. The expierence bar only has about an inch left before my next level. I can check the exact number tonight when I'm home

Be sure and check the experience number, not just the bar. The lower level monsters won't visibly move the bar up after you've completed the game and are at a higher level.

I checked the number and killed like 10 guys and it was still the same. What I did was is I started a new game with the archer imported my character and then deleted the archer. Maybe that's why the expierence is not going up.

I made it to the Onyx Tower in extreme. In the middle of saving the game I got a dirty disk error! So I reset the game and tried to reload my game, it says the save file is corrupted. Argh, there goes my level 25 sorceress :(

I don't know if it is because I work with computers but I always have a back up of my important saves on my memory card. That sucks though.

It sounds like your experience should be going up unless your imported character is level 40. I believe level 40 is the cap. Also it is a possibility that your imported character is powerful enough that killing lower level monsters gives you no experience, but I'm not sure about that.

Is there a way to start a new game on hard with your character without importing him on another game and deleting the other character?

kegman 07-11-03 06:19 AM

Found out the problem. The weaker guys don't give you any points.

I just put this game in to finish it after not playing for a few months and found that my nephew and his friend had overwrote my saved games. dang, i had to start over. atleast this time i knew to save up level points to get Ball LIghtning as soon as possible. Ball LIghtning rocks. How are the meteor swarm and flying sword spells? worth getting?

Mordenkainen's (sp?) Sword is my favorite spell of the game, by far. It often finds enemies before you see them, does automatic damage, and can eventually kill every enemy by itself if you need to hang back and heal/refresh mana.

Those spells are decent, but don't bother getting them until you have ball lightning at level 5.

Thanks for the info. i cant wait to play some more tonight. i finished the dwarves crap (killed the ice dragon, which was the weakest) and now its on to the swamp and killing zombies and lizard men.
