Quick Halo question + info

I just got my X-Box (actually won it in a school raffle! woohoo!)and just started Halo . Right after the sequence where they test out my shields and all hell breaks loose, I could swear I hear them calling my by my real name! Is this possible? Did they record dialog with say the 100 most popular names or something (mine is Sam)? Maybe I am just going crazy

Also, any advance word on Midtown Madness? I picked up a bunch of games and will probably get the online stuff this week. It came with JSRF/Sega racing and I picked up:

Amped
Munch's Odyssey
Spiderman
Splinter Cell
Halo
Kung Fu Chaos
Midnight Club 2

Figured that is a good mix. Now I have all 3 systems and no time toplay any of them. :-)

Sam

no, but if you go into system link, pick players, a map, and a game type, then it should tell you the name of your xbox.

In Halo - your name is Master Chief. If you heard your own name, you're hearing things. Play Splinter Cell though and you'll hear your name alot as the hero's name is Sam Fisher.

Splinter Cell
Halo
Kung Fu Chaos
Midnight Club 2

That's a pretty good start... Munch, Splinter Cell, Halo and Amped are gonna be the best in the list. I'd suggest Outlaw Golf and Project Gotham Racing... both can be had for under 20 bucks.

Aha! Turns out the guy up behind the glass balcony is named Sam. :-) Too good to be true but that would be way cool!

This was done with another game before wasn't it? I'm thinking Black and White... maybe... at least it was planned or something.

I'm pretty sure Black and White had that feature. One of the few features that actually made it into the final game.

Actually, MSN explorer will say your name when you log in. Well, it will say mine and a couple of people I know, at least.
