XBox Racing Games...

I just finished Rallisport Challenge, which I absolutely loved. I'm looking for another great XBox racing game. I'm not particularly picky on the specific genre (road, rally, hover etc), just on good racing.

Suggestions?

Moto GP 2 (or 1 if you can find it cheap)
PGR- awesome and should be cheap
Burnout 2- Got great reviews and sounds awesome

It seems like there are more but I can't think of them at the moment.

2 of the Xbox's best racers are $30 a pop.

Project Gotham, probably the greatest arcade style racer ever made.

Quantum Redshift, ALMOST takes the spot of best future-racing game from Wipeout 3. Almost. The game is insanely fast, the weapon system is great and the music rocks.

Thanks for the recommendation on Project Gotham... read the GameSpot review, and it looks pretty cool.

I'll give more props to Burnout 2. I have (and love) the PS2 version, and it looks like the X-Box version improves on it.

imo, except for the 1st four games on the list provided by Joshic, i don't think the rest are worth owning. i'm not a super racing fan, but i do have sega GT and project gotham and do not think they're all that great.

i think need for speed 2 got better reviews for the ps2 version.

I don't know the exact date, but I believe Project Gotham Racing 2 is supposed to be coming out soon.

I'm with you, glad I'm not the only one. I owned PGR, PGR was a friend of mine and PGR is no Rallisport Challenge. I hated the kudos system. Racing is about competing against other cars and the clock, not about looking cool, IMO.

Don't you mean that you owned Rallisport Challenge, RC was a friend of yours, and PGR is no RC?

Picked up Rallisport Challenge last night... very pretty graphics, but it's hard for me to transition from road driving (in Burnout 2) to rally racing. But it's nowhere near as bad as the transition from SSX Tricky to Amped. Ugh. Thank goodness for Gamesopot's 7-day money back guarantee.

A developer finally has the kudos to do something different than everyone else and they get this.

I wasn't a fan of the Kudos system at first but once I saw how awesome this game was I got into the Kudo's system. After all you can race a perfectly clean race and gain a ton of kudos just by making each checkpoint without going off the road. Then add in kudos for normal powerslide driving, which the gameplay leans towards anyway, and you have a great game.

I can agree with Young on Sega GT though. This game felt incredibly slow to me and I didn't like it.

You've got to stick with it for just a little bit on this game, the learning curve is a bit steep. The courses are also pretty tough (even at the beginning) and the traction physics (as you're on gravel most of the time) are somewhat tricky to get used to. However, once you do, you'll be powersliding through a hairpin at 60 MPH on a hillclimb, barely missing rocks on the inside and spectors on the outside in a 850 HP Nissan Skyline. Or battling it out on a rallycross course with 3 other cars that actually can drive the pants off of you. It's probably my favorite racing game ever.
