Not only nationwide, but sale on other games too, including Kingdom Hearts for $34 I think. Apparently Amplitude is going out of print (according to Target). I got it price matched at Walmart (who doesn't carry it, but got one returned earlier today). I was bidding on this yesterday and loss. Lucky me. Thanks Alot!

Just curious, is this a sale price or a clearance price?

Also, I was thinking about pricematching with walmart as well, how did you get them to match it without it being in a print ad? Did you have to buy it at Target and then show the receipt?

Thanks.

I just went and picked this up and the sales person said that it was on clearance. It was marked as $39.99 but scanned at $18.88

The Walmart I was at didn't carry Amplitude. Luckily, someone had returned an unopenned copy earlier that day. I asked if they could call Target to get there price and match it. The gentleman I was talking to was nice enough to do so, and got confirmation that it was $18.88. Overwrote the price and I got it.

Picked them both up Monday for $18.88 each. Make sure you ask them to scan the games because neither were marked down. Speaking of Amplitude and Primal.

I got a raincheck for primal. Would be really nice if I could use the 53% off any other game on a game that already has a price cut, like Clock Tower3. Anybody tried it before?

Nope...just one sale at a time. Still, 53% off is an insane deal.

I don't think that Primal has sold well at all. I expect the SRP will drop soon so it will be readily available for around $20.

AWESOME post and awesome deal. I picked me up one of the last 2 from the knoxville, tn target. This is one of the games I have been meaning to get, but didn't want to pay $40 for since I had some other things I needed to get.

Eventhough I havent played Primal, what I have seen from it, it kind of reminds me of Bloodrayne, but thats not exactly a good thing.

Thanks so much for the heads-up. I picked up Amplitude at lunchtime. Even though I suck at Frequency, I still had some fun with it and I hope this is even better.

Thought long and hard about Primal, but I ended up passing on it. The reviews just didn't sound like it was all that much fun, though it does look beautiful. Can anyone who picked it up give my their impressions?

Oh, and I'll second that request for Target to alphabetize. Amplitude was hidden in the second cabinet along with all the GC games

Just a bump for this. I didn't jump on this when I was at Target the other day. I was at Best Buy last night and they had one copy on the shelf, so I had them call Target and pricematch it (came up as 18.99 though...oh well).

I'm glad I did. It's a cool game, and it's one of the few that my wife seems to enjoy playing. She is a huge techno/trance/house freak so she was in seventh heaven playing through this.

The target in South Austin (Mopac and 290) had both Amplitude and Primal in stock. Picked up the former. See you foo's online! Thanks for the deal info. I love paying under $20 for fairly new games.

Incidentally, Best Buy had a bunch of PS2 games for $10 like Haven, Knockout Kings and quite a few others. Just FYI.

Haven is awful. Playing it feels like work. I don't remember a single fun moment, and I still curse myself for wasting my time with that game.

I decided to pick one up from Target, it's the kind of games that the GF would probably like.

Let me just add that if you're on the fence about this one, go ahead and pick it up. I don't know if it was worth $40, but at $19 it's really a no-brainer.
It is a lot of fun, even in short sittings. The music is pretty cool and my liitle daughter liks the cartoon "FreQs" that dance and play the instruments. Overall a better game than Frequency, even though I prefer tunnels to the highway design of the new game. Feeling the beat of the music is about the best use I've ever seen for the dual shock feature.
