Cut-scene friendly recommendations?

Does anyone have any cut-scene friendly recommendations for the X-Box or P2? I don't like games that force you to watch their cut-scenes or games that have more cut-scenes than actual playing. I loved Splinter Cell, GTAIII, GTA: Vice City, Indiana Jones. I haven't really played any FPS games to know if I would like them or not. If I have to use Final Fantasy X as an example of RPG, I don't care for that either they are more eye-candy than play (and the play seemed arbitrary). Games are so expensive, I don't want to blow $30-$50 for a game that will end up not being played. Even the Greatest Hits titles at $20 aren't cheap if you don't like them and never want to play them. Some games I've heard about that I think I might like are: Devil May Cry, Hitman, Max Payne, etc. Thanks for your help!
