Might be because this game = good

That Big blue one was intense. whoever was playing that was pretty good.

I watched one of the FMV's they have at IGN. The background music was unexpected, its quite addicting....

Warning to those at work: isamu's link is laced with profanity.

He's basically complaining that he won't buy the game because it doesn't have the option to turn off the music.

My question: how do you know this?

Yes, Groucho is correct. My post is laced with all kinds of bad words, so if you're squeamish or easily offended by ****, *****, ***, and ***** I suggest you don't click on it.

Anyway yes Groucho, I'm damn pissed about it. When was the last time a game company decided to eliminate such a convenient and basic option in a racing game? Believe it or not, I actually like techno/80s dance music. But the both of us know, being subjected to the same music tracks over and over and over again after weeks/months of playing the game is an excercise in tedium. Oh well, I'll you guys read the thread and judge for yourselves...

Like someone else said in the post after you. Why don't you just mute it and listen to your own music?

Again, I ask...how do you know that you won't be able to turn off the music?

As I've never bothered to listen to anything but the music the game comes with, it doesn't affect me wanting to purchase the game in any way.

How can you boycott something you already own?

I do NOT own the Japanese version. But have spoken to several people who do, and ALL accounts are that there is absolutely NO option anywhere to be found, to turn adjust the music/sfx. At least they could've allowed us to mute one or the other, but no.

And I WANT to be able to hear the sfx while listening to my own music, which is the reason I bought my DJ Mixer from Radio Shack in the first place...so don't gimmie that "mute button" ****! Read my thread again to see how I can justify what appears to be a trivial complaint...

It's a valid complaint. Valid to the point of boycotting the game? uh... not IMO.

More power to you, but I don't think Nintendo will miss your money to much. If you are going to boycott the game, why not do it for reasons such as that Nintendo pulled support for LAN connectivity at the last minute. You know something that effects the gameplay.

I suppose we will all have our own ideas of what is important. Personally I want to enjoy the game as the designers created it.

Well, let's wait for the American version and see if the option is there before going nuts.

Anyway, I buy games for the gameplay myself, not for the music. But each to their own.

Do you use your dj mixer to spin DEEE-LITE while playing Ridge Racer? They're called "video" games. I suggest you try "audio" games by hopping on that short bus and...
What would you plan on doing when you went to the arcades to play AX? This is going to be a must have title. I hope it's programmed for progressive scan. It's going to look sweet.

Any of you sick of the music yet?

Anyway I am wondering if any of you have tried playing with the steering wheel? Impressions?
