So, having gone to E3 myself the past 4-5 years, I've always been keenly aware of how lame I am to not be going to the infamous Sony party. Anyone here ever go? Is it as cool as I imagine it? How do people get invited to it anyway?

What are the dates for E3?

May 14-16.

Went to a Sony party when the PS2 was first debuting for E3 and it was very cool. They had it at some downtown parking lot and had DJ's and gogo dancers and open bar. Actually, Microsoft threw one that year that blew away the Sony one. They got Third Eye Blind and Blink 182 to perform and rented out a club. Haven't gone to one recently.

I went that year also

Everclear did a good job that year I thought.

You have to know someone at Sony who can get you a ticket.

Thought that's why I haven't gotten many invites since. I got a press invite and that was the year all the next gen consoles were debuting so they were probably trying to get a lot of press. Oh well, guess I'll get the next round of invites when GC2, XBox2 and PS3 come out.

I hope there's an equivelant to the GOD lot that used to be in front of the convention center.
